I’m very excited for this opportunity to share this artwork with my community! 

I make a living by designing circuit boards for Caterpillar, but in my spare time I like to paint. It doesn’t seem too long ago that I was sitting around the kitchen table with my children, sharing their crayons and coloring books. Who could have predicted that it would lead to this?  Anyway, having fun with crayons led to drawing again. (I’m not sure why, but I really liked drawing trees!)

After I became a Christian, I began to think that if I was going to spend so much time on art, it should be MORE MEANINGFUL ....

Being new to Christianity, I was just starting to explore the bible, and after having the thought about “art and meaning”, images related to scripture began coming into my mind almost immediately. But I paint very slowly, and a lot of it is fixing mistakes because I’m not very good at it yet. So after all this time, this is everything I have to show. 

I would like to invite you to a reception (open to the public)  Friday, October 6th at 6:00pm. If you can’t make it, I hope to see you some weekend from 1:00-4:00pm.

Also, since I’m new at this, I welcome any comments or questions or suggestions. AND — if you know of any artists who would be a good fit for our little gallery, please let me know, ok?  seeya soon…!
