Gallery: River Valley Visuals

A community of artists in Peru, Illinois will be bringing their work to exhibit in the Prairie Arts Center Gallery during the month of May.  

A reception will be hosted by the Prairie Arts Council on Friday, May 5th from 6:00-8:30pm, and the gallery will be open on weekends from 1:00-4:00pm through Sunday, May 28th. Some of the artists who will be exhibiting in May: Rachel Brisbois, Angie Cornelius, Arica DeArcos , Frank Kobilsek, Dave Taylor and Nicole Warren.

If you are interested, you are free to attend one of their meetings at the Westclox Fine Arts Factory in Peru ( 408 5th Street ) on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:00pm. Here is their mission statement: The purpose of River Valley Visuals is to foster a supportive community between local visual artists across all mediums and styles. We recognize the importance of these artists not only for the visual enrichment they provide to the larger community, but also for the inspiration they give to the next generation of students. We also recognize the need for artists to meet and discuss their work with other artists and it is out intent to facilitate these meetings.
