From their first scrawled valentines of childhood to the last guilty goodbyes, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Ladd's letters reveal youthful innocence, fears and fancies, goals, and dreams. Their love affair takes place from grade school through middle age. They ponder opportunities lost and love squandered. Letters often reveal more than face to face conversations allow.
