The Prairie Arts Council will host a month-long Art and Pop Culture Exhibit by Austin Burrows. Austin Burrows, a native of Princeton, began drawing at a young age; but really started taking it seriously after high school. Since high school he has amassed over 20,000 followers on Instagram (austinburrowsoffical) and made a name for himself in the comic art community. Austin has quite a few friends that are artists for companies such as Marvel and DC Comics. In addition to his original artwork, he plans on displaying some of their work at his April gallery show. Austin will also be exhibiting some of his comic book memorabilia. You won't want to miss this Art and Pop Culture Exhibit.
Plan to attend and check out Austin’s original artwork, comic book history, and memorabilia. Patrons attending Friday's reception will have the opportunity to see several items that will be viewable exclusively at the opening. Austin looks forward to “enjoying an evening with people who enjoy the same things I do - comic books, art and pop culture.” He will have a number of items available for sale.
The exhibit will be in the Prairie Arts Center gallery located at 24 Park Avenue East in Princeton. The opening reception is from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, April 1. You may also view the exhibit on Saturdays and Sundays through April 30 from 1:00-4:00 PM.
Prairie Arts programming is funded in part by grants from
